Kailey Potter is an actor, educator, and fight choreographer from southern Appalachia. 

THEATRE: The Taming of the Shrew (Mortal Fools Collective), The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Tempest (Vagabond Shakespeare), a swing in the premiere of Alice (South Carolina Children's Theatre), Henry IV: Tread on Kings (Elsewhere Shakespeare), The Ides: Julius Caesar (Shakespeare and Friends), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Warehouse Theatre), and The Knight of the Burning Pestle (Sweet Tea Shakespeare).

This summer, Kailey co-founded Mortal Fools Collective. She adapted, produced and performed in the company's three-actor The Taming of the Shrew, which toured to Maine in partnership with Mad Horse Theatre Company, to New Hampshire in partnership with Advice to the Players, and all across Virginia. TEACHING: Kailey is also a teaching artist and has worked with Shakespeare & Company, the Warehouse Theatre, and the American Shakespeare Center Theatre Camp. As an educator, she has taught at Mary Baldwin University and the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. Currently, she works as a Lecturer of Theatre/Acting at Clemson University.​​

Kailey earned her MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University. Favorite S&P credits include Macbeth (Macbeth), The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Julia/Duke/Eglamour), Arden of Faversham (Alice Arden), and The Birth of Merlin (The Hermit/Ghost Band). 

While not performing you can find her playing her mandolin, stopping to read any historical signage she comes across, or thinking too much about Henry V.
