Kailey Potter is an actor, educator, director, and fight choreographer from southern Appalachia.

THEATRE: The Taming of the Shrew (Mortal Fools Collective), The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Tempest (Vagabond Shakespeare), a swing in the premiere of Alice (South Carolina Children's Theatre), Henry IV: Tread on Kings (Elsewhere Shakespeare), The Ides: Julius Caesar (Shakespeare and Friends), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Warehouse Theatre), and The Knight of the Burning Pestle (Sweet Tea Shakespeare).

Kailey is a co-founder of Mortal Fools Collective, a mobile theatre company focused on classical texts. She adapted, produced and performed in MFC's three-actor The Taming of the Shrew, which toured to Maine with Mad Horse Theatre Company, to New Hampshire with Advice to the Players, and all across Virginia. FIGHT DIRECTION: Recent credits include Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare on Tour!) Hamlet (Warehouse Theatre) and Ride the Cyclone, Antigone, Much Ado About Nothing (Clemson University).

TEACHING: Kailey has worked with Shakespeare & Company, the Warehouse Theatre, and the American Shakespeare Center Theatre Camp. As an educator, she has taught at Mary Baldwin University and the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. Currently, she works as a Lecturer of Theatre/Acting at Clemson University.​​

Kailey earned her MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University

Kailey will be the fight choreographer for Clemson University's upcoming production of Twelfth Night, directed by Kerrie Seymour.

Recent Projects:

Kailey presented her workshop, Acting Shakespeare's Verse, across multiple days at the South Carolina Theatre Association.

Kailey was the fight choreographer for a touring production of Macbeth, directed by Katelyn Spurgin.

 

Kailey played a supporting role in The Rainbow Files - her first film role!
